JKTech has enhanced its flotation capabilities with the addition of specialist Thu Nguyen to the team as Senior Process Engineer.
Thu will be helping clients get the most out of their flotation circuits, and ensuring their teams are operating with the latest knowledge, by applying skills developed during a multi-decade career in the minerals industry.
“I am looking forward to using my experience to assist JKTech’s clients to unlock their potential and increase their productivity and profitability,” Thu said.
“I have developed expertise in a range of areas, from flotation modelling, simulation and optimisation to processing mineralogy, geometallurgy, feasibility studies and plant surveying, commissioning and maintenance.
“As a flotation specialist, I was responsible for managing and delivering consulting projects within Australia and internationally, and later as a technical support manager I was responsible for providing a range of technical support and process expertise to support sale cases, upgrades, and modernisations.
“The skills I have developed are underpinned by an in-depth understanding of the equipment and technology useful for determining the best solutions for optimal metallurgical performance.
“Additionally, I have provided technical training to many customers, mentored graduates through training programs, and I am highly capable with JKSimFloat thanks to being involved in its development and testing."
JKTech Operations Manager Bevin Wong said Thu’s expertise and client-focused work ethos makes her a valuable addition to the team.
“Thu’s expertise enhances and complements JKTech’s flotation capability, not only with JKSimFloat but with overall optimisation and different aspects of flotation training,” Bevin said.
