About Metallurgical Accounting and Reconciliation
Metallurgical Accounting and Reconciliation equips participants with a clear understanding of metallurgical accounting principles and practices, emphasizing their critical role in production reporting, financial forecasting, and corporate governance. A key focus will be on the AMIRA P754 Code of Practice, the industry benchmark for designing and auditing fit-for-purpose metallurgical accounting systems.
Metallurgical accounting is often misunderstood as a routine “bean counting” exercise, yet the numbers it generates directly influence financial reporting, production forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Accuracy and system integrity are essential to a site’s bottom line, but training and mentoring in this area remain limited, creating a growing gap between importance and capability.
This one-day workshop addresses that gap by providing practical, skills-based training for professionals responsible for metal accounting. Drawing on JKTech’s audit experience, the course helps participants:
