Conditions of registration

  • All amounts quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified
  • All payments must be in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise specified
  • Where applicable, amounts are inclusive of Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) – this is payable for all registrations of courses being held in Australia, regardless of the client’s country of residence
  • Where applicable, amounts are exclusive of withholding tax levied on payment of the amount in the jurisdiction of the client

Conditions

Earlybird registration

The Earlybird Registration rate applies to registrations submitted by the Earlybird Registration cut-off date.

Standard registration

The Standard Registration rate applies to registration submitted by the Standard Registration cut-off date.

Late registration

A late registration fee applies to all registration types submitted after our registration cut-off date (including Student, Standard and any other special rates offered). This fee is an additional $110 (inclusive of GST) and is included in the Late Registration rate corresponding to your registration type when paying online. Invoices will also include the late fee in the total amount.

Student registration

The Student Registration rate applies to full time students only. A scanned copy of your student identification card must be supplied at the time of registering, with the following items clearly visible:

  • Your photograph
  • Your full name
  • An expiry date (must still be a current ID card)

This scanned copy should be emailed to jktech@jktech.com.au

Group registration

Not applicable for all courses, a group discount may be available for three or more attendees under the following conditions:

  • All three delegates are from the same organisation
  • All three delegates are registering for the same course, with the same registration type/cost
  • The payment will be invoiced in one bulk amount
  • The full registration amount must be received in one bulk payment (not split for each delegate)


Cancellation policy

Cancellation by JKTech Pty Ltd

JKTech Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel any course at its discretion. Whilst we endeavour to make every effort not to do this, there could be circumstances beyond our control (e.g. insufficient numbers) that may prevent us from going ahead. In light of this, if you need to fly, we suggest that you purchase a fully flexible airline ticket.

In the case of a course cancellation by JKTech Pty Ltd, will provide a refund to you in the method by which the original amount was paid. We can also hold the funds in credit if you wish to use them for a future course run by JKTech Pty Ltd.

JKTech Pty Ltd will not provide compensation for any losses incurred associated with the cancellation of any course.

Cancellation by client – “Standard cancellation policy”

  • Cancellations 28 to 15 days prior to course commencement: AUD110.00 administration fee payable (full refund less AUD110.00)
  • Cancellations 14 to 8 days prior to course commencement: 50% of registration fee payable (50% of registration fee refunded)
  • Cancellations 7 days or less prior to course commencement: full registration fee payable (no refund provided)
  • Non-attendance at course: full registration fee payable (no refund provided)

Cancellations will only be accepted in writing. Please note that the Standard Cancellation Policy applies regardless of your registration payment status. Our terms and conditions are agreed to as part of the registration process and apply to all registrations, paid or unpaid.

Direct substitutions (from the same organisation, for the same course and date) will be accepted when advised prior to the course commencement, provided the substitute delegate meets the conditions of the registration type. Other substitutions may incur cancellation fees as above.

Cancellation by client due to the decline of an appropriate visa

Refunds will be provided to clients who must cancel their attendance due to the decline of an appropriate visa to enter the country where the course is being held, on the following conditions:

  • The visa must be applied for at least six (6) weeks prior to the course commencement (evidence of your application must be provided)
  • You must advise JKTech Pty Ltd of the status of your visa at least two (2) weeks prior to the course commencement (whether successful, pending or declined), and provide your full name and passport details for us to investigate the potential outcome with Australian Immigration

If you have been declined a visa outside of two (2) weeks prior to the course commencement and fail to inform us of this immediately, our Standard Cancellation Policy will apply.

If you have been declined a visa at any point prior to the course commencement and do not advise us of the status of your visa at least two (2) weeks prior to the course commencement, our Standard Cancellation Policy will apply.

If you apply for a visa within six (6) weeks prior to the course commencement, you do so at your own risk and our Standard Cancellation Policy will apply.

Payment

Payment must be made within 14 days of the invoice issue date, as per our payment terms stated on the invoice. Our Standard Cancellation Policy applies regardless of your registration payment status. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to abide by our cancellation policy and forward any payments owing if you cancel and your invoice has not been paid.

Liability

JKTech Pty Ltd reserves the right to amend any part of a course program. Liability for damages of any nature sustained by delegates or accompanying persons, or loss of, or damage to, their personal property as a result of any course or related events, will not be accepted by JKTech Pty Ltd. In the event of industrial disruption or other unforeseen circumstances, JKTech Pty Ltd will accept no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by delegates. Delegates should make their own arrangements in relation to personal insurance and travel insurance.

 

COVID-19 Requirements

We operate according to Queensland Government guidelines and frame our decision making with everyone's health, safety, and well-being in mind.

Please note that the following actions will be undertaken as part of COVID-19 risk management procedures:

  • Attendees will be emailed a short health screening questionnaire to complete and return no later than 48 hours prior to the course.
  • On arrival at the course venue on the first day, participants will be met by the presenter (outside of the reception area) and will be asked the health screening questions again.
  • Participants are required to register their details using the QR code when entering the assigned training room and to also sign the physical attendance sheet each day. (Please note electronic records of attendance are kept for 56 days).

Please remember:

  • Stay at home if unwell or have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue, or shortness of breath.
  • Adhere to social distancing throughout the course.
  • Practice healthy hand hygiene habits, hand sanitizers will be available.

If you are unwell before the course start date, please contact JKTech as soon as possible.

If at any point during the course you start to feel unwell, please inform the presenter as soon as possible.

JKTech adheres to the Queensland Government advice and COVID-19 requirements in place for Queensland. The latest guidelines and advice are available on the Queensland Government website. Please note that Queensland Government advice and restrictions may change with minimal notice – we will keep you informed as soon as practically possible (via email) if the scheduled course is going to be impacted.

Course cancellation as a direct result of COVID-19 impacts: For any Queensland Government imposed restrictions in place due to COVID-19 at the time of the course, JKTech will provide a full refund.
