Dr Barry Kelly AM

Barry Kelly has served on company Boards in Australia, Asia, Europe and South America. He has held leadership roles with National and State industry organisations, including the Queensland Mining Council (now Queensland Resources Council) where he was a Director from 1997 to 2000. In 2001 he was appointed Chairman of the Sustainable Minerals Institute Review Committee by the Queensland Government.

Dr Kelly has a long-term involvement with The University of Queensland. As a member of the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre Advisory Board, he was one of the senior minerals industry representatives who helped guide the development of the Research Centre over a period which included the formative years of JKTech Pty Ltd. From 2004 to 2011 he served as a Director of UQ Holdings Pty Ltd.

Barry was awarded the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ Gold Medal in 2011.
