Overview

Representative sampling of particulate materials is an essential activity in mining and crucial for decision-making during process design, plant operation and process performance diagnosis. This workshop provides a practical introduction to metallurgical sampling protocols and practices for mineral processing plants. The workshop will introduce you to sampling theory and the fundamental concepts underpinning best practice design of metallurgical sampling protocols.

Participants will:

  • Gain an overview of best practice sampling
  • Recognise sampling problems and how to address these issues
  • Understand the fundamental concepts underpinning sample design
