Overview: JKTech is proud to announce the release of JKToolKit—a freeware, Excel app housing a suite of calculations of use to mineral processing practitioners. These range from mature, industry-standard models, to sophisticated and novel routines that are only described in the academic literature or specialised reference texts. Key tools include Morrell’s power draw model for tumbling mills, error propagation assessments of yield and recovery calculations, and routines to statistically compare regression lines and grade-recovery curves. With a detailed help file, calculations that were previously constrained to the domain of technical specialists have been made more accessible to general industry practitioners. This webinar presents an overview of the tools featured in this initial release.
Presenter Bio: Tim has over 10 years’ experience in a range of mineral processing design, engineering, optimisation and technical support roles. He is currently a Senior Process Specialist with key involvement in JKTech’s process consulting engagements. Focus areas include modelling and simulation in JKSimMet, production forecasting, Mine-to-Mill, and geometallurgical initiatives, as well as delivery of JKTech’s flagship professional development courses to industry clients.
He obtained a PhD from the JKMRC in 2011. Prior to his current role with JKTech, he worked in a specialist capacity with Ausenco’s Technical Solutions group, as well as a Metallurgical Lead at Rio Tinto’s Processing Excellence Centre.
