Important note:  Dates and times are listed in AEST

Overview:  Is near enough, good enough: Does good sampling matter?  This metallurgical sampling webinar will look at not only why sampling is important in the minerals industry but also why it is so difficult to get it right. It will review some of the basics of sampling theory that underpin good sampling practices, coupled with examples on how sampling methods can impact the quality of data obtained for decision making during process design, plant operation and process performance diagnosis.

This webinar will explore the following questions:

  • Why do we sample? Why is sampling important in the mining industry?
  • Where and when do we sample?
  • Why is sampling difficult?
  • How do we take samples and does it matter?
