Blast Movement Monitors
A technique to estimate the boundaries between ore and waste after blasting was developed jointly by researchers at the JKMRC and Blast Movement Technologies (BMT), including the development of Blast Movement Monitors (BMM®). The intellectual property was licensed to BMT since 2005 and in 2010 was sold, also to BMT. BMT have continued to develop both software and hardware to better understand and estimate the ore and waste boundaries, reducing dilution and maximising grade of the ore delivered to the processing plant.
